Our IES Alpedrete Technological Secondary School started its Eco-School journey in 2008 and, finally, we were awarded our Green Flag last school-year: 2012/2013.
As whole school involvement in environmental activity is key, the Department of English has taken another step forward in this project. This blog aims to link our Eco-school work to our school's curriculum. We hope the blog will help our students of English to get involved in the programme, raising their understanding and knowledge of sustainability and ... English !!!
Up to now, our school has been working on the following topics:
- Energy saving
- Waste management
- Litter
- School grounds
- Healthy living
- Transport
We will try to address some other topics such as:
- Biodiversity: ecosystems and life cycles; how species interact; endangered species and human impact on them.
- Global Citizenship
